How can I practice answering Casper video questions?

Read an original scenario and record yourself answering each question separately. State your decision, explain why it fits the situation and describe a realistic next step. Replay your answer to find one point to clarify. Use the speaking exercise below and check your equipment against the official technical requirements.

A clear answer in three ideas

Start with what you would do. Explain why that action fits the facts. Finish with what you would change if you learned something new. This structure can help organize your ideas, but should stay flexible enough to fit the question.

01

Decision

A concrete action within your role.

02

Reason

An explanation connected to the needs and facts.

03

Next step

A realistic next step if the situation changes.

Try a one-minute speaking exercise

This practice scenario is original. Read it, then answer each question separately. Written examples in this library are reflection prompts, rather than scripts to recite.

Inclusion and problem solving

Making a student event accessible

You are helping plan a student networking event. The proposed venue has stairs at its only entrance. A classmate who uses a wheelchair asks whether they will be able to attend. A committee member says changing venues would be too much work this close to the event.

  1. What would you propose to the committee?
  2. What would you do if the accessible alternative exceeded the budget?

Speak, listen, try again

Use your own timer. Answer once, then choose one point to make clearer. Try again while keeping your reasoning rather than memorizing the same sentences.

Natural speech that is easy to follow

You do not have to fill every second. A brief pause can help you gather your thoughts. If you lose your train of thought, return to your decision rather than restart the whole answer. Choose simple words that accurately express what you mean.

Avoid long introductions and lists of qualities. Instead of saying you would show empathy, explain what you would ask the person and how their answer would influence your action.

Prepare your environment

  • Use the device and browser you plan to use for the test.
  • Check your camera, microphone and connection with the official tools.
  • Choose a quiet space and lighting that makes your face visible.
  • Close distractions and check the sound of a short recording.
  • Consult the official rules for permitted materials and accommodations.

Review your own reasoning

Use these prompts to find one concrete improvement. This is a reflection tool, not an official scoring rubric.

  • I answered the specific question with an action I could take.
  • I separated known facts from assumptions.
  • I considered the people affected by my decision.
  • I explained why my first step was reasonable.
  • I described what would change my approach.
  • I respected privacy and stayed within my role.
