Collecting and Using Your Personal Data

Personal Data

While using the Service, We may ask You to provide certain personally identifiable information, including

• Academic information, such as Your school, program, and exam date

Usage Data

Usage Data is collected automatically when You use the Service. It may include Your device's IP address, browser type and version, the pages of the Service You visit, the time and date of Your visit, and other diagnostic data.

When You access the Service from a mobile device, We may also collect the type of device You use, a unique device identifier, and Your mobile operating system.

Your Practice Responses

When You submit a written or video response to a practice question or simulation, We store that response so We can provide You with AI-generated feedback.

Video responses are transcribed to text by a third-party transcription provider, and both written and transcribed responses are analyzed by a third-party AI provider to generate Your evaluation.

Video recordings are stored so You can review them later and are not shared publicly or used to train third-party AI models.

Cookies and Local Storage

We keep the amount of tracking on the Service to a minimum. We do not use advertising cookies, and We do not sell Your Personal Data.

Product Analytics

We use Sentry to catch errors and to record aggregate usage metrics, such as how many people complete a simulation. With Your consent, We also use PostHog (hosted in the US) to record product events linked to Your account id for funnels and retention, such as completing practice or simulation steps. Practice and simulation content is never tracked. Analytics data is kept only as long as needed for these purposes and You can withdraw consent at any time in Settings.

How We Share Your Data

We work with the following Service Providers to operate CasPro. Each one only receives the data it needs to perform its function.

• Supabase Hosts Our database and handles account authentication.
• Stripe Processes payments for paid subscriptions. We never see or store Your full card details.
• OpenAI Analyzes Your written and transcribed video responses to generate AI feedback.
• Deepgram Transcribes Your video responses into text so they can be evaluated and reviewed.
• Sentry Helps Us detect errors and monitor the aggregate performance of the Service.
• PostHog Provides consent-gated product analytics hosted in the US, linked to Your account id for funnels and retention. Practice and simulation content is never tracked.

Retention of Your Personal Data

We keep Your Personal Data only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, or as required by law. You may request deletion of Your account and Your data at any time by contacting Us.

Security of Your Personal Data

We take reasonable steps to protect Your Personal Data, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices

You can update Your account information at any time from Your profile settings, and You can clear cookies and local storage through Your browser settings. Some parts of the Service may not work correctly without them.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will let You know by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and We encourage You to review it periodically.
